Castelldefels beach is one of the widest in the Barcelona area, with over 5 km of sand and calm waters. It's a popular destination for families and watersports enthusiasts alike.

How to get there from the apartments

From Apartamentos ELMA1 the beach is just a 10-minute walk, through a quiet residential area until you reach the seafront promenade.

Facilities on the beach

The promenade running along the whole beach is equipped with showers, beach bars and sun lounger areas. It's a great place to spend the day or take an evening stroll with sea views.

Watersports

Castelldefels' calm waters are perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing and kayaking. Nearby is the Castelldefels Sailing Club, with courses and activities for all levels, and 2 km away the Club Marítimo. Less than 500 metres from the apartments, the Olympic Canal also offers kayaking and waterskiing in more sheltered waters.

If you want to explore further, the coastline continues towards Gavà, with another long sandy beach a short drive or bike ride away.

When to go

High season runs from June to September, busiest in July and August. In spring and autumn the beach is much quieter and the Mediterranean climate still makes for pleasant walks along the promenade.
